With your support The Gathering 2009 will plant 10,000 trees to commemorate Scotland’s greatest ever international gathering of the clans.

teaghlach /tfeax/ n. Scottish Gaelic
1. family, household, house in genealogy 2. clan, tribe, race, progeny

Show how much you, your family or your business love Scotland by planting a tree in the new Teaghlach Wood and leaving a lasting legacy for the generations to come.

Buying a tree for The Teaghlach Wood to be planted in the hills above Comrie in Perthshire will bring traditional broadleaf species back to the heart of Scotland, regenerate wildlife habitats and combat climate change.

Below is a communication from Angus Crabbie

Dear friends at Clan MacDuff: Scotland needs your help!

As you will see below we are planting a woodland to commemorate The Gathering 2009 and to be the living legacy of The Year of the Homecoming.

We are delighted to be working in partnership with them and we aim to plant a woodland that embodies everything that is good, innovative and green about Scotland!
Ultimately we would like every Scot whever they are in the world to take a positive action and plant at least one tree! Any help that you can give us to achieve these aims would be very much appreciated. If you could, for example forward this email to the rest of your members or put something up on your website - all would be much appreciated.

We look forward to your support whether it is to help us spread the word to your clan or simply to plant a few trees and to get your name on our on-site honours board.
If you would like to discuss any ideas then feel free to drop me an email. In the meantime, have a glance at the email below and click through to the website: www.teaghlachwood.com

Many thanks for your support,
Angus
